New England equaled their longest winning run since the Tom Brady era as they overcame division opponents the Jets 27-14 in the NFL

Rookie Henderson shone brightly with three touchdowns as the New England squad claimed an eighth straight win for the initial occasion since iconic QB Tom Brady's final season with the team in 2019

QB Maye passed for 281 passing yards and a score, completing 25 of 34 passes

The triumph bolsters the New England's lead at the summit of the division as they moved to a 9-2 record, with the New York at the foot after dropping to a 2-8 mark

The visitors had scored first at Gillette Stadium with QB Fields scoring a five-yard touchdown to conclude the New York's first possession

But the Patriots responded in the second quarter as the rookie scored two seven-yard touchdowns before the ball carrier caught a pass from Maye at the rear of the end zone midway through the third quarter to push the score to 21 to 7

"That was a big time for him rising to the challenge, and it's been fantastic for him to keep getting these reps," the quarterback said of Henderson. "He wants to be excellent."

Justin Fields found Metchie toward the end of the third quarter to narrow the deficit for the visitors but Borregales converted a pair of field goals in the fourth quarter as the home side wrapped up the win
